FLX Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hello, I'm a system administrator at a big IT company. We use frequently imgburn on our workstations, but we would like to perform a frequent automated rollout of the latest version. I was wondering if imgburn has a static link somewhere to the latest version to download. e.x http://imgburn.com/imgburn-setup.exe Even if there has been a new version released, the link will stay the same for downloading. Mozilla Firefox has something similar, http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or...ses/latest-3.0/ Im looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance, Dennis The Netherlands
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Why does an admin need an static link? Surely you download it once and push it out from your own servers? Perhaps I'm just thinking in a non-lazy way, I dunno!
FLX Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) Hi LIGHTNING UK! Thanks for your fast reply. Its true that i will download it only once, but it will be integrated in a cronjob using wget, thus automating all tasks. Could you be able to create such a link? Many thanks, Dennis Edited September 9, 2008 by FLX
