LOCOENG
The reason we don't recommend brands for DL burning other than Verbatim is due to the results you are seeing...shoddy inconsistent results which leave you scratching your head. How does the burner deal with single layer media? Two burners, same media, failure with both would point to the media.
rockseller
Looks like its the media... ITS SO WEIRD THO!!. Because i bought in Office depot 5x Memorex Dvd-dl but each one with its cage, worked like a charm that's how i burned 5 of them, then bought the 25 pack wich is not working, what a crap quality! LOCOENG
I'll bet if you go back through your logs you'll find the singles you bought show a different MID than the ones you are having problems with now....another reason we only recommend Verbatim. If you buy Verbatim MIS that is what you'll get. Memorex/OD/Sony/Imation etc. all outsource to different companies to manufacture their media it's likely you'll actually be getting a different disc with each new spindle. LOCOENG
How many have you used? Try taking them back with the argument that they aren't compatible with your drive...can't hurt to try.
