I've used imgburn for a long time, first on xp and now on debian etch under wine. I need to burn a cd of flac files and wonder where/how to install the directshow filters (I did this under xp and it worked fine). I'd assume they need to be installed to wine but I'd like to hear from someone who has this up and running.

Thanks...

Lacking a reply, I tried installing the illimable filters (mentioned in a post re:flac) under wine - the install worked okay but I still could not create a cue file for my flacs. There was an error message for each track and the tracks, once added showed a time of 0:00.00 (indicating, I assume, that they were not added properly).

I've seen a few other codec packs available for download (k-lite, mega-bass) but would really like to hear from someone who has solved this problem on linux/wine...

Thanks.

You might find that nobody has!

Have you tried the madFlac ones?

What exactly is the error message?

The message is "addsoucrce filter failed'.

I've downloaded the madflac filter but I'm unsure of where to install it - does it need to be in the imgburn folder?

The only types of audio files I burn are mp3 and flac - do I need a filter for mp3 as well?

Thanks for responding.

It's the 'reason' that's important really.

MadFlac is a *.ax file yeah? I believe it goes into the windows\system32 folder.... but it'll need registering too.

On a Windows PC that would be done with regsvr32.

Ran the install.bat for madflac in wine - got message 'registered successfully' from regsvr32. Also copied the libflac.dll into system32 and added it to wine library overrides (don't know if that was necessary).

Tried to create cue file - new error message "co-create incidence error'.
