old dog
Hello, I am new to this burning thing and I have tried to find an answer on this forum but with no luck. I downloaded a Xvid file and burnt it onto a Sony DVD+RW disc and it played with no problems. I then used the After Dawn guide: avi2dvd, burn with image burn. The conversion finished successfully and the burn finished and verified successfully. When I try to play it on either my computer or DVD player it runs for approx 2 minutes only. The file on the disc seem to be the full file. I closed up both programs and can't seem to find a copy of the burn log, but I am sure I followed the giude properly. Hope someone can give me a few pointers as to why this happened.
techman
If you have a virtual CD/DVD program like Alcohol 52% FE you can try to mount the image file to see if it plays ok.

Thanks for the reply I don't have such a program but when I look at the properties after putting the burnt disc into the dvd drive the file shows as 550mb

old dog
Here is a free one: http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html I downloaded the virtual drive and the and the file doesn't play properly although it lists 12 chapters only the first one plays. Does this mean that the conversion was dodgey?
mmalves
Use DVD Flick to convert your XviDs and it should work
