dmp Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I have an HP 1040e DVD burner which I have used with my Sony VAIO, utilizing the Nero 7 Essentials package. I have lost this program, so I tried Nero 9. Big mistake. Nero 9 is needlessly complicated and large, horrible to download and has cost me 6 frustrating hours. I just tried imgburn, which downloaded quickly, but I cannot get it to work either. I am trying to transfer some AVI video files which I have copied onto a standard CD-R, but whenever I try to do this, imgburn keep stating that the CD-R (in my VAIO drive) is the destination, when I want the DVD burner to be the destination. Any thoughts? Of the 6 choices in the menu for imgburn, which choice should I use to burn the AVI image files from my CD-R to my outboard HP 1040e DVD burner.
dontasciime Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Try the guides section http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4
LOCOENG Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Use read mode to copy the CD-R to your HDD and then switch to write mode and burn the rip to your DVD.
techman Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 you want to copy avi files from your cd drive to your dvd drive?
