mmalves Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 The DVD-R DL standard does not allow to change the layerbreak position. You need to use DVD+R DL media (please read this thread)

Cynthia Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 You need to buy DVD +R DL media instead of the DVD -R DL media you currently have, as mmalves posted before.
lfcrule1972 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Yep - as above you cannot set the layer break on the DVD-R DL format so for me at least it makes them useless for movies etc..... The DVD+R DL Verbs on the other hand are excellent and I have had no issues with them when backing up movies I didn't want to compress.

The solution to the problem was to mount the image in Daemon tools, and then use Imgburn to wrtie files to disc.....you can then set the layer break usually......and can burn to -DL
Cynthia Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 That shrinking program can't handle layer breaks - so it's not good for creating DL images.
