i am trying to burn audio cd from files on my computer,what type disc do i need to burn to-i have cd-r now will that work? i also have dvd+rw and dvd-rw discs. also how do i burn audio files from my computer?

i followed the guide but it is still saying medium not present-i have a cd-r disc in the drive-what now?

If it shows Medium Not Present then the drive thinks there's no disc inside. Are you sure you have at least a CD burner? Look in ImgBurn's Log window (View -> Log if you closed it), what does the 'Found ...' line say?

Sounds like the installed burner doesn't burn CD-R's either that or that part of the drive is knackered.... A copy of the log from ImgBurn would help us :)

Have you tried different brands of CD-R? How about CD-RWs? We need to find out if your drive doesn't like a specific disc/brand or if it has lost its CD burning capability.
