siNNer07 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Hi! Recently my Avira anti-virus has been giving up msfnot.dll as a virus everytime I start burning something in imgburn. I guess it's just a false positive since it only shows up when i use the program but either way I have to stop the anti-virus everytime i want to use imgburn. Is this really a imgburn file or really a virus? Thanks in advance
LOCOENG Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Looks like a virus to me ~ http://info.prevx.com/aboutprogramtext.asp...3a18d005f9d5fd8 It's not located on my PC and I do have Imgburn installed.
Cynthia Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I have Avira and also not that file. No problems here.
siNNer07 Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) It's probably spyware, thought i had superantispyware installed but it's not. Thanks for helping out! Edited November 5, 2008 by siNNer07
volvofl10 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 same here with Kaspersky, ImgBurn installed on 2 diff machines with 3 diff versions of IB and no problems or reports from the AV
LOCOENG Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 SuperAntiSpyware may get rid of it, but I'd also try Malwarebytes AntiMalware.
