Hi all,

I've tried burning 2 different images (both Linux ISO's) with 3 different types media, and it always locks up at the "Writing LeadIn" stage. No matter what I do, the computer won't shut down or close ImgBurn even through the task manager.

My drive is a Matshita UJ870BJ (brand new Sony Vaio CS laptop).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum, Igor! :)

Latest chip set drivers installed for the connection that the burner is attached to?

Latest firmware for the writer installed?

Hi there!

Yeah. As I said, that's a brand new laptop. Did a clean install and got the latest drivers :-) Now I tried burning a Dual Layer DVD and it got stuck while reading it. It's not a faulty drive because I did use Windows to burn some and it works fine. Just ImgBurn crashes.

Damn Matshita!!!!!!!
