Cynthia Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Looks as the burned disc could not be read (verify error). Low quality brand used? Burned to fast? Might give some more clues if you posts the log. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
bigfootbo Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 I have no idea what this means, the dvd is brand new clean. any help out there?Cynthia, I posted all of the logs, sorry but I really could use some help here. The rip that I did ended up showing up on my hard drive as a roxio file, whereas before - about a month ago it was not. Maybe you can shed some light on what I need to be doing? ; //****************************************\\; ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 - Log ; Wednesday, 19 November 2008, 16:32:58 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 16:19:47 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! Cynthia Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I 13:21:12 Source Media Volume Identifier: <YOU_DONT_MESS_WITH_THE_ZOHAN> This title is a $ony DVD and your issue is that the DVDs you are trying to read are sector protected and that's why you are getting the reading errors. ImgBurn does not bypass protections.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 And you can't burn a 8GB image onto a 4.37GB disc.
bigfootbo Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 i thought the software (imgburn) condensed the DVD so it would fit on a 4.37 GB disc. guess i was fooled again...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 No, it doesn't (nor does it say anywhere that it does). ImgBurn burns as-is, because that's what burning tools do. If you want a (re)compression / (re)authoring / shrinking tool then you'll need to find one designed for that purpose.
