LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 You got a 'Write Error' code back from the drive, so it's saying it's having problems writing to the media. Are the disc made in Singapore? Verbs made elsewhere aren't as good. That drive must be getting on a bit now, have you tried cleaning it?
phil0001 Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 thanks for the reply, they are made in India unfortunately, bought them from amazon so couldn't see before i bought them. Computer is prob about 5 years old so yeah, getting on a bit. Worth trying my laptop? Thats about 2 years old, but are those drives as good? How would i clean the drive? Thanks again, much appreciated

dontasciime Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Does anyone have any more suggestions? Lol get a new drive or buy a new wii and use the original. That game is quite hard to backup and have it play on chipped modded wii Press A before DEMO starts even with Verbatim backup

volvofl10 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 [i guess the combo of old (+prob dirty) drive, + 'made in india' discs is asking for trouble. nope. just the "made in India" bit is enough for trouble
