DVD Reading

Hi my drive is a HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GCA-4164B

and well it reads Imation DVD-R for burning but not SONY DVD-R.

Any reason for that??

It also cant read RW and I'm sure it should be able to.

Please help if you can

 

Oh and i burned an image to a disc and it didnt verify so is that a bad burn or something...i get error...
