RaisingOphelia Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) So I've been set to the mission of backing up my parent's/stepbrother's Wii games, being the tech geek in the house. Everything's been going peachy, until today. I burned Smash Bros. Brawl to a dual-layer DVD, which worked just peachy - and since then, I haven't been able to burn anything. I just keep getting write errors during the "writing lead-in" phase. I've tried multiple ISOs and multiple discs, and they all fail. I've gone into ImgBurn and reset all the default settings (the only one I'd changed was cycling the tray before verify), and restarted my computer, but still no go. And, for the record, I *am* using Verbatim DVD-Rs. Here's a copy of the log from my last attempt: (all other logs are the same, except the ISO name) I 21:18:30 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 21:18:30 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 21:18:30 Total Physical Memory: 4,190,480 KB - Available: 2,378,968 KB I 21:18:30 Initialising SPTI... I 21:18:30 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 21:18:30 Found 1 DVD Edited November 28, 2008 by RaisingOphelia

Not sure about the file system thing - all the files I've got are just ISOs that I dumped from the discs, and I haven't had any problems up until today. Just for the sake of completeness, here's the log from the 8x attempt. I 22:32:36 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
