chiddy29 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 ok this isn't a gripe at the program so dont get me wrong hear and there may be a perfectly good reason for the program doing this that i dont know about... but, when building a DVD disk the disk drive pops out of about half way throught and from my understanding normaly closes itself and then continues on burning the disk. however i now only have a laptop (long and very sad story #39;( ) and it is likely to stay that way for some time, subsiquently i have to come back every 10 min and close the disk drive so that it can continue burning. if there is no perticular need for this part of the process can it be stoped or am i just an idiot and have missed a tick box or someting that will make shore that this dosn't happen.
mmalves Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 The tray cycling is part of the Verify process and is needed to ensure the drive can properly recognize/initialise the burned disc. If you want to disable this then untick 'Cycle Tray Before Verify' in Tools -> Settings -> Write tab, but be aware that the burned disc might not be 100% good, especially if you're not using high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
