Hi,

I am having a problem burning the ISO image to disc. Have attempted numerous times but no luck. Some of the error codes I am getting in the log are:

W 18:49:56 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

W 18:27:08 Retry Failed - Reason: Read of Scrambled Sector Without Authentication

Could someone please help me

Problem solved, it was a driver problem, downloaded FRCASPI17.zip and installed.

It wasn't that at all.

We haven't needed ASPI since the Windows 95/98 days.

The first error is due to you using media your drive doesn't support properly - update the firmware on it and buy better discs.

The second error is because you're trying to read a protected disc - and ImgBurn cannot do that.

Am not using imgburn to read disc, have another prog that rips with an anti-copyright prog running in background so no worries with copyrighted discs. Was experiencing prob burning ISO from this other prog to disc with Imgburn. Found info on another forum about same prob with different software and implemented their recommended fix (installing ASPI). Immediate result was perfect burn, followed by 15 successive successful burns and no error messages in Imgburn log.

Also, using various brands of disc and no coasters yet.

Seems contradictory that you state installation of ASPI wasn't the fix, yet it was what fixed my problem. *scratches head*

Thanx for follow up though, shows good customer support and now that I have things working am very happy with your software's operation.
