Cynthia Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, jaydawg! Did you also use the 8x write speed ones with success before? Might be that the one labeled for max 2.4x write speeds works better than these new ones.

Cynthia Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I 19:31:44 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x) The only write speed that is supported by the current firmware is 4x. You might try that speed. I 19:31:44 Write Speed: 2.4x I guess the writer used a 'generic' write approach when you selected a non supported write speed. If the 4x write speed try fails, you have to either find the 2.4x labeled ones again or get a new shiny writer.
volvofl10 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 update the LG's firmware to A117, and you might be lucky with the 8x verbs
