Hi all,

i'm new to the forum and have only recently discovered imgburn :D

i found it whilst searching for a program that would recognize and write to dual layer dvd's.

i knew i'd found the right place as soon as i saw a certain Mr. lightning UK.

and i would just like to say a massive thankyou to him for his excellent little job on decrypter.

been using it for years...............................

THANKYOU Mr. lightning from the bottom of my burner

now to my problem.

just tried my first burn to dual layer.

everything seemed fine until i got an error message stating

"failed to set 1.0 data zone capacity"

"reason - power calibration error"

could anyone please explain this to me ?

my PC spec is..

amd 6000+ dual core cpu

ga-ma78gm-s2h mobo

4Gb ddr2 800mhz ram

700 W psu.

samsung s203/bebn burner

optiarc ad7200s burner

having used the samsung burner first i thought it might not be up to the job so i then repeated

the process using the optiarc with the same end result.

i followed lightnings 'how to write DVD video guide to the letter.

the media used is vebatim 8x DVD+R DL

and i had it set to burn at 2.4x

ive searched thru' the forum but cant see anything relevant so i'm wondering if its the PC or a meatware problem

any help appreciated but please try to keep it simple as, whilst not a total dummy i'm no programmer either.

thanks guys

1. Post a log

2. Only use Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore

THANKYOU Mr. lightning from the bottom of my burner

Not sure if this is a compliment as what usually comes out of bottoms? =))
