i was searching through ur forums and found one that matched mine, except i believe a copule things on my log are different and the suggestion give was to get better media. my problem is i have a verbatim disk but it wont burn the image, heres my log, please let me know what im doiing wrong.

This is the real error and means the drive doesn't properly support the media you're using (quite common when using new media with old burners). You could try finding newer firmware for it, or maybe crossflashing to a DRU-510A, but the easiest solution is to buy a new burner, as they're pretty cheap nowadays :)

what burners would u recomend for best performence and compatability with a sony vaio? how would i go about crossflashing to a DRU- 510A?

i went to the site listed above and told me i needed to go to another but the link no longer works and is in chinese, how can i Flashing Sony DW14A to DRU510A?
