Hey im having problems burning to a dl disk. its not a verbatim its a memorex but i have used the same disks to burn before and never had a problem.

There's firmware RL01 available at http://au.lgservice.com/ (Device Driver -> DVD-ROM(Writer) -> page 6). Remove any disc and close the tray before upgrading. Reboot after it has finished.

 

Also make sure you have the latest storage drivers available for your chipset/motherboard.

i think you have just been lucky so far that the memorex worked O.K till now. the firmware update "may" solve the problem for a while, but its only a matter of time before the actual discs fail you.

Have you recently updated your drivers or anything?

 

Windows is returning an error code so it's not even from the drive itself.

 

What controller is your drive attached to?

Tried updating the drivers and bios and it worked! thank you so much, and yes i know that memorex isent great and i buy verbatim 90% of the time.

 

i also think you guys should know that imgburn rules and is some of the best freeware on the net :thumbup: so thank you lightning uk
