Hi All,

I'm hoping you can help me. Am trying to burn iso to disk and it is not working for me.

Am using an Asus notebook.

I used it fine with DVD Flick the other night and now I'm hitting a brick wall.

Have tried different discs as well.

The error log is as follows:

I 11:42:45 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!

I 11:42:45 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1)

I 11:42:45 Total Physical Memory: 1,964,548 KB - Available: 917,860 KB

I 11:42:45 Initialising SPTI...

I 11:42:45 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 11:42:45 Found 1 DVD

most likely case of the notebook drive does not like those discs . try vebatim or taiyo yuden discs instead.

You could try changing the write speed to 8x or even 4x instead of "max" with thoe youve got, it may/may not work

Thanks for the response I will give it a go.

I'm confused though as to why the TDK disc I used the other night worked fine, but now I can't use another TDK disc. They are from the same spool of disks I purchased.

Will get a Vebatim on my break and let you know.

I tried the x4 and x8, but no good. Same error.

I'm concerned that it might have something to do with my drive????

I tried to burn the iso with power2go and it would not write either.

Thanks

MissEm

unless you buy good/quality media, you can get 1 disc burns then the next fail all thw way thru the spindle of them

laptop drive are not the ebst in the world to be honest ( can safely say it as ive had 5 laptops thatw ere crap at burning)

If your going to be wanting to write many discs, I would advise you to invest in a good external USB writer to add to your notebook/laptop, as there much better than the internal drive .

Its worth looking to see if there's a firmware update for your drive though

Ok, will definitely give the Verbatim's a go!

I tried to update the firmware and I have the best version available already.

It's one of those crazy things I guess!

Thanks for the helping hand.

Will let you know when I try the Verbatim!

Thanks again
