imgk2000
Good evening, after producing a coaster this evening, the first for a very long time, I recognised that imgburn shows me some infomation I've never seen before. I'm using a nf680i Mainboard two writers (sata PX-716, ide GSA-H20L) with up to date drivers for the board and firmware for the drives - non patched. Normaly ImgBurn (2.4.2.0) shows in the status field "Device not ready (Medium not present)" when a drive is empty and the tray is closed. So it does for the IDE drive. But not on the SATA PX-716! ImgBurn shows some of the following informations in the status field changing about ervery 2 seconds: - Drive not ready (No additional sense Information) - Drive not ready (Unknown, (0xnn, 0xnn) just two random hex bytes - Drive not ready (Unknown, Vendor Unique (0xnn, 0xnn) just two random hex bytes - Drive not ready (Diagnostic failed on component 0x7e) ... and some more When switching the I/O setting to ASPI or ASAPI or ElbyCDIO (vso isn't installed so I can't use it) the drive shows up normal, also burning works, just wrote four DL+R no problem. System: XP SP3 up tp date patches, Nero7, AnyDVD (yes I bought it) - deactivated during the test. What the heck is going on here? Any suggestions? imgk2000
Thank you for your reply. I see that this isn't a imgburn problem. But what causes such a change in the behaviour of the system? There was no driver or software update the last few days. Any ideas? Thank you.
