rocket2247 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Hello all, I am new here and am hoping that someone can help. I am using DVD Shrink 3.2 and IMG Burn 2.4.2.0 to copy DVD's. Hardware: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653F D200 (ATA) I had copied a DVD yesterday and it works fine. Today, I had tried to burn 2 more(300 & Chuck and Larry). Both went through Shrink and IMG without any errors and even play in the computer DVD player. The standalone DVD player at my home won't even open them up. Comes up with an error along the lines of "disc cannot be played back". I use Sony DVD+R. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.
Cynthia Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Hi and welcome to the forum, rocket2247! Might be that your stand alone player doesn't like to play burned discs. Could you post a burning log from one of those burns? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
rocket2247 Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 Here is one of the logs. Also, my standalone has played burned dvd's before. Like I said, 2 days ago I burned a movie and it worked in the dvd player. Yesterday I did 2 more, but they only work in the computer and not the standalone. mmalves Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 From what we can see it was a successful burn. Have you tried those discs on other DVD players? Next time try burning at 8x or 12x, as that'll give you a better quality burn.
kevdriver Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Rocket, It's probabley just your stand-alone player being fussy. If you have any -Rs to burn to, try those. As stated, the burn and verify looks okay. As mmalves mentioned, try slowing down the burn and see what happens.
