No Seek Complete, Failed to Verify Sectors ... ??

I'm new here so thanks in advance for any replies. I'm basically using Imgburn to make images of DVD home videos so I can duplicate them. I'm using Taio Yuden media which was working great for 15 DVD's in a row. I was creating my images and then burning them to Taio Yuden discs for duplication. I managed to be successful burning one copy but then on the 2nd copy I began the downward spiral of 5 coasters in a row and they all have the exact same issue...

And it goes like this:

And error window pops up...

---------------------------------------------

I/O Error!

Then I check the log and I've got:

The most I can find on forums etc is that my media doesn't like my burner (which according to many may not be a surprise for the burner I have)...

The Philips seems to have its fair share (actually a lot) of critics and unhappy customers, but could it be something else considering it had 15-16 successful (in a row) burns prior to these coasters?

I 22:55:31 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: TYG02) (Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x)

I 22:55:32 Write Speed: MAX

Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You might also want to try using the other available burning speeds. If that still doesn't work, try with DVD+R media (Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are the best).

I would go for a normal-size burner in an external enclosure, as that gives you much better quality burns

Are they genuine TY's or something by the likes of datawrite / datasafe? (i.e. all the ones that didn't quite pass the TY quality tests or whatever!)

To my knowledge all are genuine TY. The 6 coasters on my pc laptop left me a bit disturbed. I even encountered some read issues on my laptop as well with some older home dvds produced like a year ago (2) so I'm not sure but perhaps it is my read/write drive. In the meantime I switched over temporarily to my iMac and "simpyburn" to just create images and burn them and I have had 4 flawless images made and 4 burned within the last 18 hours so that is a good sign...
