Glue Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Hi I recently switched my Dvd-burner on my laptop, because I thought the old one was faulty. But now, certain dvd-media is not working. Just tried Verbatim dvd-r and the dvd is not recognized and I am not able to burn. I have tried 3 different brands. Verbatim, TDK and Samsung Pleomax. The only one working is TDK. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do?
spinningwheel Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Check your firmware version against what you can find at the manufacturers website for your burner. Post a log from the failures.
Glue Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 I 14:11:15 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!I 14:11:15 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (6.0, Build 6002 : Service Pack 2, v.113) I 14:11:15 Total Physical Memory: 2
Glue Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 and now I realised that the reason the TDK didnt work was that it is empty. It is burnt to completion but is empty.
volvofl10 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 turn debug mode off and post a new log. unless LUK asks for you to use debug mode, dont. all it does is make it harder and takes longer to sift thru the log file
