Glue
Hi I recently switched my Dvd-burner on my laptop, because I thought the old one was faulty. But now, certain dvd-media is not working. Just tried Verbatim dvd-r and the dvd is not recognized and I am not able to burn. I have tried 3 different brands. Verbatim, TDK and Samsung Pleomax. The only one working is TDK. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do?
spinningwheel
Check your firmware version against what you can find at the manufacturers website for your burner. Post a log from the failures.

Glue
and now I realised that the reason the TDK didnt work was that it is empty. It is burnt to completion but is empty.
volvofl10
turn debug mode off and post a new log. unless LUK asks for you to use debug mode, dont. all it does is make it harder and takes longer to sift thru the log file
