The issue is that even if the write part of the log shows no problems, the verify part shows that the writer has problems to read the disc. Perhaps try with another brand of media that the burner likes better, if the firmware update/speed change doesn't help.

Okay i burned the same iso different burner with no issues.

i tried another iso(which are wii games for backup purposes) on the last burner i had the problem with and it had no issues at all.

and thanks for your help.

Verbatims seems to be liked by most burners. (Might also be due to the reason that the brand is of higher quality)

In my opinion Verbatim is of higher quality.

There are some Verbatims made in China that are of questionable quality. The best ones seems to be made in Singapore. I use +R Verbatims made in India and those are also nice ones.

Sony media uses various media codes and some are of high quality. It also depends on where they are manufactured.

Go for 8x discs if that's all the drive can handle.

Personally I'd go for Taiyo Yuden 8x (TYG02 dye) if you want DVD-R. I think the TY DVD-R discs are better than the Verbatim ones (assuming the verbs aren't TY dye anyway!). The opposite is true for DVD+R discs though where I then prefer Verbatims to Taiyo Yuden :)
