Just read this on Lifehacker and thought it was a great idea. What would be even better is if you could do this automatically in a burning tool like ImgBurn

...and if your 'par' files are on the area of the disc that goes South?

 

Seems like a decent enough idea, but it has no proven background since it's new in concept. How does this help ImgBurn stay 'lean and mean' without some history as to its' usefulness?

Much better option is dvdisaster. You can either create separate redundancy files or interleave the recovery info directly in you ISO.
