Just cannot work out why my burns fail! Help please!

I'm running Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inpsiron 1526 and my burner is an Optiarc DVD+- RW Ad-5560A

 

The first time I used IMG burn it worked perfectly. Now - I'm just not having any luck and keep getting a variety of error messages. The last burn failure kept citing 'session fixation error writing lead in'. I was trying to burn to programs on the one DVD using a menu setting as well using DVD Flick.

 

Interestingly I burnt a file this morning which did work - it was just the one file and without a menu. Is there a clue here?

 

I'm using Verbatim discs - have tried other brands and also tried burning at diff speeds to no avail.

 

Any help greatly appreciated.
