I have a wii iso file that i used imgburn to create a backup dvd. the burn says it completes fine. when i look at the contents of the dvd after burning all i can see is a "desktop.ini" file and nothing else. I have tried turning on / off hidded and system files and done multiple burns on verbatim +r and -r. My question is what files should be on the dvd and should i see them when exploring the dvd in Vista. I have poste a log file below

20:13:28 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!

I 20:13:28 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1)

I 20:13:28 Total Physical Memory: 3,405,072 KB - Available: 1,966,792 KB

I 20:13:28 Initialising SPTI...

I 20:13:28 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 20:13:28 Found 1 DVD

Are you sure that's not just Windows giving you a blank window so you can drag + drop files for burning?

Windows doesn't understand the filesystem used by the Wii (and why should it?!) so there's no way it's actually letting you browse the real disc.

You could be correct. Windows is displaying that I can drag files to burn. Is this what you would expect? I guess i thought i might see some files. When the image is burnt from an iso, is just the iso copied or is there some extraction of other files?

Thanks for your interest and help

Wii games don't have a filesystem that Windows can read, thus it'll show that window if you have CD burning enabled in Windows, or it would show an error message if you had that disabled. The important part here is the Verify, which was successful, meaning that the disc was properly burned and is an exact copy of the source image.
