I am having troubles reliably burning DVDs. What generally happens is that it starts burning, and then at some point stops writing with no error message.

I am running Vista32SP1, and burning to Verbatim Single Layer DVD+Rs. As the attached screen capture shows, it is not writing, the elapsed time keeps ticking upward, and the remaining time reads as "Unknown".

I have tried several blanks.

Any idea what could be going wrong?

Also, when I try to abort the write, it says "Abort request acknowledged", and doesnt. See 2nd screenshot.

Thanks for any insight,

Joe

This is normally where your controller drivers have messed up and so no I/O get processed.

Once an I/O command has been submitted to the drive, ImgBurn is no longer in control until it's processed and the machine returns success / failure.

If the machine never returns either, ImgBurn just sits there waiting for it to do so.
