I'm using Verbatim DVD-R's. Log: I 17:58:25 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! LOCOENG Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Try burning at 4X or 8X to see if there is any difference. You selected 10X, but your drive/firmware/media combo doesn't support that speed. You may also look for a firmware update if available.

gibbo7 Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 (edited) At 8x it came up with the same error at 98% of the verify, at 4x it had the same arror at 18% of verify... Should i just turn off the verify function? lol It's only 1 file that is doing this, i just tried with a different one and it worked fine as usual. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 The file shouldn't have anything to do with it, the drive doesn't care what you're burning... it's all just 'data'.
mmalves Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Try using a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You may also want to try with DVD+R media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Tayio Yuden DVD-R 8x (TYG02 dye) is it then. Your drive only appears to support 8x anyway so firmware support for 8x discs might be better than 16x ones.
