mmalves Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Make sure you're using the latest drivers available for your chipset. If you are, try older versions.
elite gm Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Make sure you're using the latest drivers available for your chipset. If you are, try older versions. There are no drivers available from LiteOn...the only thing liteon offers is firmware update 06 which mine already has. As for chipset drivers, i do have the latest from xfx, but when i go to the device, it says microsoft drivers from 2001 Edited January 15, 2009 by elite gm
elite gm Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Get your chipset drivers from nvidia. Yeah I have the latest chipset drivers, when i go to device manager and click sata controller->properties I get 8/2008 But when I do the same for the LiteOn DVD Burner I get Driver: Windows cd rom driver, 7/2001 My bios version is the only thing that is not up to date...but does that really matter? LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Well at the moment something is blocking the proper error codes that come from the drive. You either have to update the controller drivers or roll back to olders one because the one on there now isn't working properly.

Its so strange, after burning 4 coasters, last night i tried it again and burnt 3 good discs in a row! I havent changed a thing on my system! However, the first 3 were burnt with dvd decrypter...the 4th coaster was with imgburn, but now the last 3 discs are solid good burns... I just dont understand
