Recommended Posts

Hey, I searched but found nothing helpfully.

I want to overburn my Verbatim DVD-R (this one http://www.verbatim.com/products/detail.cf...91CD8C4156EA2D3 )

But I get the Invalid Field in CDB Error.

Cause I know what I do, I don't want that the program stop me.

Only ~500KB to overburn and it fail...

Hope someone have a tip for me.

Greetz

1. You have the latest firmware as far as I can find.

2. You are definitely over the 4.7 spec of the disc even by Verb standards, Have you successfully done this on these discs before?

3. Your drive is just about 3 years old, maybe a change is in order if you want to push the disc as far over as you seem to want to do.

Yes, the Firmware is the lastest, but the correct name of the drive is "Sony DW-G120A", but the Lite-On Drive is same as this, the Sony is an OEM Lite-On.

I want to burn only ~800KB over the official limit from the disc. Now I'm trying to pack the files in a few rar-archives.

Is there a way to skip that error?

The software isn't stopping you, it's your burner that's refusing the reserve track command because it doesn't allow overburning on DVD-R media.

You might want to try with DVD+R media, but it's not guaranteed that the burner and/or media will allow writing further than 2,295,104 sectors.

Ok, thanks for the information.

Thought that my drive is an allrounder...

If I will need some help, you will see me again :P
