LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 It could be. Try at 4x and 6x speeds. Then try with 2.4x verbatims - the ones that use the MKM-001-00 dye instead of MKM-003-00 (8x) dye. If none of that works, try the drive in another PC before sending it off for repair or whatever.

Tanks for help, at 4x its the same thing and my burner don't le me burn at 6x =/ Now i tried using a memorex disk (ritek) dvd-r dl , and the burn failled too, no suprise here but the disk near the zone where it stopped got scratchs (i believe its the right word, my english suck sorry) i see thousands small scratchs that assemble a circular scratch with 1.5cm. I can take a photo if necessary. Verbatim disks that failled didn't get that scratchs only this memorex. Can it be some dust on the drive? Its a laptop drive so i can only send all laptop to warranty. regards
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 According to your log, the drive does in fact support burning MKM-003-00 at 6x. I 10:20:40 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x; 6x) If it's scratching discs then something doesn't sound right. You should contact whoever makes the laptop and see what they say.
vizouk Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 I will contact them to replace the drive (its under warranty) asap , atm isn't possible as i need laptop to university. I cleaned the len, after remove Clonecd driver and set speed to 6x, it was 2.4-4x during begin and end. And it worked i'm happy after 9dvd's DL (8verbatim) i got one working lol. I will probably buy one drive to my desktop. Here the print of ibg, i don't know how analyze this xD
