I/O error when trying to burn

Trying to burn some folders onto a dvd but this error keeps coming up

I 23:49:50 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: MBI 01RG40)

That brand of media is not supported by the writer as there are no write speed numbers after the disc id. So the writer is using a general write approach and that doesn't seem to work very well. Have you tried with another brand of media?

Will try new discs tomorrow but i had used these discs all the time - tevion dvd-r 16x and Mr DVD dvd-r 16x

Brand names mean nothing, it's the dye that's important.

 

A brand can change the dye they use every week if they want to!
