Cynthia Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, newtothissodon't...! You got a write error. Have you been able to burn with this brand of media before?
newtothissodon'tlaugh Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, newtothissodon't...! You got a write error. Have you been able to burn with this brand of media before? Yes I have burnt 12 movies so far with no trouble
volvofl10 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 well its a straight forward write error, which means your drive does not like those discs. in saying that, the discs youve used there are CMC ink/dye based, which is probably the lowest we have come across in the consistency ratings. To get 12 good ones already means you have been more than lucky. Suggest you look at other brands for your next purchase. If they have to be +R format,go for genuine Taiyo yuden discs. Probably the best there is for consistency
LOCOENG Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 +1 to Vovlo's advice. I'd also add that Verbatim are another top notch brand and very consistent as well. I also noticed Volvo's new spell checker is working quite nicely
volvofl10 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 My current spell checker is a 30 day trial one which is due to run out anny tume noww bogger !
LOCOENG Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Shucks....looks like it's run its course then
newtothissodon'tlaugh Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 alright..I thought these lightscribe discs were ok just because they were from costco(HP DVD+), didn't know you could put a pic on a disc instead of just using a marker so downloaded trial version of Surething Label Maker..were can I get the verbatim lightscribe in Canada..also which is better..DVD+ or DVD- Sucks because I burnt the label on the disc first, then tried the movie.....madness
mmalves Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Have a look at Staples and Newegg ('Computer Hardware' -> 'CD / DVD Burners & Media' -> 'CD / DVD Media' -> 'Verbatim')
