I never have had a problem burning dual layer DVD's up until the past couple of weeks. I have been using Memorex DVD+R DL discs. Of course, Verbatim discs are the best, but I have never had a problem with Memorex before. It seems like my burners fail at 50% every time with ImgBurn. I used Nero as well and the disc burned 100%, but it still says it was a failed burn. Here is an image of the error I am having. I have posted a log below as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Where's the ImgBurn log?!

Post ImgBurn logs on the ImgBurn forum please, keep your Nero ones for their own support team.

So anyway....

Your drive bombed out with a 'Write Error'

That happened at sector 2088800 which is about 50% on the disc I expect... exactly the same place you said ImgBurn reported an error.

So basically, give up with the memorex discs and buy Verbatims.

Once you've done that, if they still fail, try cleaning your drive. If it STILL doesn't work, buy a new drive.

I guess I will try the Verbatim discs then. I just never have had a problem with Memorex before. Maybe its just a bad batch of discs. I can burn single layer discs fine. I burned one the other day and it was Sony DVD+R disc.

I failed to mention one other thing. I was by my laptop when it hit 50% for the writing process. At that time the burner made a funny noise. It sounded like the disc was shifting in a rough way. Either that or it was the laser.

When Ner0 start paying us to help with THEIR crappy problems, we'll help. Geez!
