In any case, updating the program isn't going to fix your 'hardware' problem. Ditch the discs you're using and buy Verbatims as blutach said. It's all detailed in that post he linked to.

Verbatim discs are MKM-00# (dual layer) or MCC (single layer). Also, update to 2.4.2 (edited earlier post). Regards
