Georgia Boy 666 in chicago Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 well i am having problems with my image burn... it doesnt do anything.. i will put an xbox360 game in to copy.. then at the very bottom of screen it says device not ready (meduim not present - tray closed) i have tooled around with every option and can't get the program to read or do anything... i am computer literate- but am not understanding the problem that i am having with this software
mmalves Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 ImgBurn shows what your drive tells it, and, in that case, your drive thinks there's no disc inside. Please post a log from ImgBurn (you can find it at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs) so that we can try and help you further.
spinningwheel Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 i will put an xbox360 game in to copy IngBurn does not copy protected media, try Google, find out how to make an .iso, then ImgBurn will burn the ,iso to your clean disc.
blutach Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Why is it that people still think this is a program to copy protected discs? Maybe we need a warning on installation that ImgBurn does not do this and is primarily a burning program. Regards
spinningwheel Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Maybe we need a warning on installation that ImgBurn does not do this and is primarily a burning program. Then we'll get requests to turn off the warning by someone who becomes annoyed by it...but cannot figure out how to use the search function......
blutach Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Which we'd ignore!!! It just seems to me there is an increasing number of threads of "I can't copy (insert name of game or DVD) with ImgBurn". Regards
spinningwheel Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It just seems to me there is an increasing number of threads of "I can't copy (insert name of game or DVD) with ImgBurn". Agreed...just look at the ones that were posted within the last 24 hours. And I'm really starting to love the ones with..."but I used (crappy) media for the last X burns and it worked fine...it can't be my media...yadda yadda yadda...Just one question then: Why come here and ask if you're not willing to admit that you screwed up and need to do something different that what you are doing????? FFS..we test more media than a porn shop and can't get a simple "thanks. I'll try that suggestion and let you know what happens"
Georgia Boy 666 in chicago Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 protected discs? i just bought the software, cause it said i can copy my 360 games
Cynthia Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 protected discs? i just bought the software, cause it said i can copy my 360 games You could have downloaded it for free here: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download We should also take the time to post the scanning results of all that media we test. It's sad it's not posted in the forum.
Guzeppi Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) protected discs? i just bought the software, cause it said i can copy my 360 games Boy, did you get scammed! You actually bought software that you didn't try first? And moreover, software that has ALWAYS been free. Wow, that's some trick they pulled on you and other "computer literate" folk. What a scam! Makes me almost feel sorry for the fish who swallow that line. The bait of copying copyrighted games was too tempting. However, to be honest, it can't be giving Imgburn any good publicity if it's being associated with these unscrupulous bas_ards who sell free software. Food for thought. blutach Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 We are not "associated" with them (how can we stop or even monitor their actions?). They scam people using ImgBurn as a product. People who are too dumb to google and find out that the product has, is, and always will be, free. So, sorry to say, but they get what they deserve. Regards
Georgia Boy 666 in chicago Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 well since i paid for something that was free- i will give them a nice thank- you gift in return
LOCOENG Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 We should also take the time to post the scanning results of all that media we test. It's sad it's not posted in the forum. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=15
