DOINKS Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Hmm that's weird firmware to have on a Dell ND-3530A drive, their site only lists 103C and 104C firmware. I changed the firmware to liggy & dees etc. If i change my firmware do i still require X2.4 disks?? Thanks again for your help
DOINKS Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Hmm that's weird firmware to have on a Dell ND-3530A drive, their site only lists 103C and 104C firmware. I CHANGED FIRMWARE DO LIGGY & DEES 3.01 TO ALLOW BOOKTYPE SETTINGS, IF I GET X2.4 DISKS WILL THESE WORK?
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 One hint if it will work or not is to insert the empty disc and use the Write mode of ImgBurn and see if there are any supported speeds listed. PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-115D 1.22 (ATA)Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 4
DOINKS Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 THANKS BUT ALL I GET IS: _NEC DVD_RW ND-3530A 3.01 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 3,827,520 Free Space: 7,838,760,960 bytes Free Time: 850:35:45 (MM:SS:FF) DVD
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Then the media you inserted is not supported in the firmware.
DOINKS Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 THERE IS OTHER FIRMWARE THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING WITH NO LUCK, OH WELL BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. PERHAPS THE CORRECT DISCS WILL SOLVE MY PROBLENS
Cynthia Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Looking at this table there is no later strategy added an in your currently flashed firmware. http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/stratinfo/en/4/0 I guess the 8x labeled Verbatims were released after 2005-07-01 and therefore not added in the firmware.

I have seen that other people have had success with this drive after updating Firmware (Liggy & Dees3.01). Thanks to everyone for help but methinks a new burner is needed. D.
