Can't burn 2nd layer to verbatim DL

Can someone please help me with my "write" problem I get a write error with my burner whenever it starts the 2nd layer burn. I tried putting a layer break at the 52% and at the 50% break area on different DL discs. Each time the program stops at the break and I get the write error attached. I'm using verbatim DL at a 2.4 X write speed. Any suggestions?

There's firmware D400 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Where are your Verbatim blanks made? It's written in the packaging/spindle.
