Bob Coleman Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I'm evaluating ImgBurn to try to see if it might be a viable future substitute for Nero. I use the disk imaging program BootIt Next Generation (Bing) from TerabyteUnlimited.com . I want to use Bing to create an image of a partition then burn the image file to DVD and finally use Bing to restore the image directly from the DVD. This works if I use Nero for the burning, but f I use ImgBurn, Bing doesn't recognize the image file on the DVD. I've been told by Terabyte Unlimited support that "You have to ensure you write in ISO9660 format (level 1) and not UDF". I seem to be using "ISO9660+Joliet" in both Nero and ImgBurn. Is there some significance to the mention of "level 1"? Does ImgBurn write in something other than "level 1"?
mmalves Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 ImgBurn, by default, uses ISO9660 Level 1. Look in Advanced -> Restrictions -> ISO9660.

Yes, I see that in Advanced -> Restrictions -> ISO9660, Level 1 is selected, so this still leaves me wondering what's different about the two disks. I don't necessarily expect anybody here to be able to tell me, but it was worth a shot.
