piikea Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) OK,.....to be brief - have had numerous failed DVD DL burns so I got some Verbatim's but now it's saying it can't find/create a place to make the Layer Break. I attempted to burn this same video_ts folder many times earlier today & there was NO problem - there were several Layer Break points to choose from which I did. If not for failed write errors I'd be done. What could be the difference now? Also, it tells me to try between sector 1403 & sector 695307 but I can't get to the pop up showing the breaks....how can I manually (or whatever) create a Layer Break?? * Strangely, if I put 2 other DVD DL brands in the Layer Break is NOT an issue??? mmalves Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Is that a DVD-R DL disc you've bought? I'm asking because only on DVD+R DL you can set the layerbreak, not to mention you'll get a much better burn on them.

I have since successfully burned this project using the same Verbatims with NTI software. Be nice to know how to set the Layer Break in IMG Burn though for future reference. WHY the disc brand would alter how IMG handled the Layer Break I don't know?
Cynthia Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 If you need to manually create a layer break, you need to first create some new cells to have the split in. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376
