AVCHD burned disc will not play on standalone

Hi. I have some MKV file movies that I would like to make into AVCHD discs to play on my stand alone Sony BDP S350 Blu-ray player.

The method I have used without success is -

Put MKV files into tsMuxeR GU. I set the output to Blu-ray, Change AVC Video level to 4.1 -press GO.

This then gives me two folders - BDMV and CERTIFICATE.

I elect Write Files/Folders and put both these folders in ImgBurn. I choose UDF 2.50, Put title in volume and press burn.

I have used single DVD - DVD D/L - BD and BD-RE discs all with the same problem.

My Blu-ray Burner is LG Super Multi Blue BE06

I am using Windows XP PRO edition 3. AMD 3000+ 2gH. 2gH of RAM, 350 gH HD.

The Sony player should play BD/HD DVD/DVD/CD BD-R/RESL/25GB & DL/50GB and LiteScribe.

I have upgraded the Sony Player to the latest Firmware

The problem that I am getting is that although the resulting DVD Disc plays with super quality on my PC it is a different matter when I try to play on the Sony BDP S350 stand alone player.

The picture is split down the centre of the screen - The LH side is in full colour and of superb quality whilst the RH side seems to be in Black and White, The two images bleed into each other. When the player is put into pause mode the centre split disappears and picture is as it should be.

If anyone has had a similar problem or has any ideas about how to overcome it I would be delighted to hear them, I'm just about at my wits end trying to cure the problem. Regards to all. BrianB.

This isn't anything to do with ImgBurn and you're more likely to get help on a forum dealing with tsmuxer and the whole acvhd thing than on here.

Doom9's forum springs to mind.
