Hi Guys,

 

First time using Imgburn here.. and got 2 I/O errors and 2 coasters. I am using Verbatims 2.4x dual layer DVD-R discs. I got a Pioneer DVR-108 with firmware 1.20 (just updated it to latest). Anyone have any idea what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix this?

 

Here's my log:

Try a lens claner disc on that drive. You might also want to try burning at 4x. Where are your Verbatim blanks made? It's printed on the box/spindle/etc.

it burns normal DVDs just fine so i don't think it is the lens...

I don't mean to be rude, but if you're going to be second guessing our advices then you must think you don't need our help? That's fine by me, but I'll end my contribution right here.

If you get the same error with 4x speed - then it's time to get a new writer. Writers today are better than they were 5 years ago with DL media.

I tried cleaning the lens and burning at 4x...

 

now it got stuck on "Setting up L0 Data Zone Capacity"

 

Nothing seemed to be happening, I even got patient and waited for 25 mins total... until I finally rebooted my system.
