Does anyone know what could be going wrong? I have updated the firmware and believe I have the latest one. Edit: By the way, this error only seems to occur when I try burning DVD+R Dual Layers. I've burned these exact dvds successfully before, but can't get them to work consistently. They are memorex (if it matters) Edited March 4, 2009 by chestor
Cynthia Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, chestor! I doubt that writer is very good with Memorex DL discs. It might work with Verbatim 2.4x discs made in Singapore. I guess you get the same error in other programs, like ImgBurn?
chestor Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Well I have one verbatim 2.4 that a friend gave me, so I'll go ahead and try it out. I'll post what happens in a few minutes. Edit: Well I tried with the verbatim and got the following --------------------------- DVD Decrypter --------------------------- I/O Error! Cynthia Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I think the best solution is to get a writer that likes to write DL discs. Matshita writers seems only to have problems with those.
chestor Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 Well thanks for the effort Cynthia. I've been meaning to update the drive anyway, it also has problems opening at times. I'll try my media on a friend's machine and look into getting a new drive.
LOCOENG Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 When you update your burner you should also update to Imgburn as this isn't the DVD Decrypter support forum.
