scader Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 I've updated my firmware to version 104C. Still receive the same error.
scader Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 Well, it appears that my drive does not support DVD-R DL, only DVD+R DL. Gah! Isn't it true that DVD-R is more compatible with older DVD players?
mmalves Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 For dual-layer media DVD+R DL is the type to use and will work on most DVD players. As for single layer media, you'd have to test your particular DVD player, or at least search with Google to see other users' experiences with that device.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 DVD-R might be more compatible than DVD+R because it's been around longer, however the opposite is true for DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL. DVD+R DL are infinitely more common.
