Stuck on searching for SCSI/ATAPI devices

Hello, when I started imgburn it got stuck in this way. I have read the faq and used the reg and got this.

You have a CD or DVD writer installed?

 

If so - can you see those devices without any ! sign in Windows Device Manager?

 

Control panel -> System -> Device Manager

Yes, I have a PIONEER DVR-113NP.

I dont know if it matters, but I just connected it using the IDE interface cable and power supply cable.

I think on the actual program it said it was checking region or something like that. How do I change my region?

Tools -> Drive -> Regional Code -> Change

 

Remember that the value can only be changed five times.

Ok I tried to change it but it said that it failed to update region settings and that I need to make sure the drive contains a region 1 media and that I must have administrative privileges, which I do have.

You shouldn't need to set the region code if you just want to burn a disc or are you trying to read a disc?

Thank you for your time trying to help me. Although, the burner is making me frustrated so I am going to return it.
