Cynthia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Based on the log you posted last - can you then select your writer and run the task you want? If I read the log I see that the program is started and then manually shut down after 11 min.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 lol you need to actually be doing something! - i.e. burning + verifying a disc.
zaccinson88 Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) i did i chose to write star wars to disk then it goes to write it but the buffers remain at 0% i left it for some time then came back and it was the same i selcted star wars and my dvd drive then it just does nothing the buffers stay at 0% and it doesnt write i did the exact same as i did with my previous files lie street fighter 4 and halo wars but it just doesnt write. i am still using the same disks aswell the only reason i shut it down is because it doesnt do anything at all so after like 10 mins i stop it do you think i should just buy new media?? here is another log if it helps ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 - Log ; Saturday, 14 March 2009, 12:29:21 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 12:19:21 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Seriously, the logs you've posted have no info about any 'operation' starting or ending... and they ALWAYS do. Look for yourself next time. Open ImgBurn and make sure the log window is open ('View' menu -> 'Log'), then start to burn a disc. There's a lot more that'll be visible in the window in addition to what you've posted. EDIT: Ok the log you just posted (via an 'Edit') above does have the info required. We got there in the end It you look in the status bar it'll no doubt show what the program is doing. It's probably waiting for the drive to set the layer break position - but your drive doesn't like that media so it's having problems. Read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
