Cynthia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I 12:08:33 Destination Media Type: CD-R (Disc ID: 97m24s01f) Try with another brand, the current one doesn't seem to be supported by the firmware/burner.
VanPersie Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 I use a Taiyo Yuden CD-R. I can try another, but do you know if there is compatability issues with TY? I use the same CDs to burn CD images I made as well. It's just not working well with burning mp3 CDs thanks for the help, appreciate the quick reply and I will also give a try to 4x burn speed. Tim
Cynthia Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I tried to find an updated firmware, but no luck.
VanPersie Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 slowed down the burn speed to 5x burn and completed burn successfully! thanks for the help. by the way, just out of curiousity, why do you think that made the difference? and isn't slower burn speeds improve the quality as well? I mean the whole thing still took less than 15 min anyway so not a big deal to slow it to 4-5x speed i guess. thanks,
mmalves Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 When burning CDs the slowest speed usually gives a better burn (that isn't true for burning DVDs though).
